Who is this ATOM MAN? I’m not gonna lie, he seems pretty… canny?

Love the poster though. Something perfect about some of the pre-1950s Superman movie posters. That “larger than life” feel is tangible in the image. Gotta love it.

Answer: Atom Man is Lex Luthor in disguise. Better question – anyone seen this?

Kill Bill… 1 or 2?

As you know, l’m quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating. Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book. Not particularly well-drawn. But the mythology… The mythology is not only great, it’s unique.

Not a comic book, but a cool and rare Kill Bill movie program that looks pretty ill.

I gotta say – with some note of sentimental love for Christopher Reeves Superman movies – no superhero movie has come close to touching Kill Bill 1 or 2. Period.

If They Put Poitier and Curtis In The Next Hulk Movie, I’ll Be Psyched.

I woke up Sunday morning and The Defiant Ones was on TCM.

Just a great, great classic movie. Sidney Poitier and Tony Curtis as fugitives from a chain gang, joined at the wrist, who hate each other. Both got nominated for Oscars for it.

But what if, instead of getting Oscar nominations, they got their wrist chain replaced with an alien weapon that bonded them together for life and gave them superpowers?

Well, then you’d have Hammer and Anvil.

That’s their first appearance right there. It tends to go for pretty decent bucks. Why? It’s called star power.
