I really like the Marvel What If series. It allows you to see other storylines of your favorite characters. All of these Wolverine comics have good concepts. Wolverine is one of those characters that has led so many different lives and he has battled with everyone in the Marvel universe. I keep telling myself that I am going to buy one of those What If graphic novels but I have yet to get one.

Do you have a preference on which run? I think the second run has more material to use, but the first ones had much more creative spark. Some of my favorite What If? stories are:

What If Dazzler had remained a herald of Galactus?

What If Conan were stranded in the 20th century?

WHat If Captian America were revived today?

I love how the What If? series is kind of an “insiders” thing, really only meant for for comic book nerds, if you had no prior knowledge of the “history” of the Marvel Universe, you’d be a little lost….

I like the second run better. But I don’t like Uatu not narrating the stories.
