Wild Cards: a prelude.

I’ve been promising myself I’d do a big ol’ post about the Wild Cards series for the past couple months. Thing is, auctions for the full series are few and far between, and if I’m going to go to town with a full blown history of the series, I want to have auctions for the [...]

Laundry day.

When this statue came out, for some strange reason it was apparently a big deal. It was decried as sexist. I have no idea why. All things considered, it seems relatively healthy and wholesome to me. I have pin up girl tattoos that are more revealing.

Not him! It can’t be him!

Yeah, it’s definitely not him. It IS however a 24 issue lot of Marvel Two In One comics, starring everyone’s favorite ever lovin’ blue eyed Thing. Basically it was just Marvel Team Up, with Benjy in the Spider Man role. Both books were always a fun time, with loads of second tier characters getting exposure.

The Deadly Foes of Spider Man.

One of the best early 90s miniseries that Marvel put out was The Deadly Foes of Spider Man. I say it right out like that because it’s just a straight up fact. The great thing about this mini was that rather than have Spiderman be the main character, he served more of a background player. [...]

Sienkiewicz. Logan Sienkiewicz.

He’s the best he is at what he does, and what he does ain’t pretty. But it sure looks cool. Yeah, yeah it’s a horrible joke. Leave me alone.

Let’s Get Dangerous…

Coming out of Emerald City Comic Con last week was the news that every kid’s favorite 1990s Disney Afternoon super hero parody Darkwing Duck will be getting brought back by BOOM comics for a 4 issue comic book mini-series. However, this is not the first time the Masked Mallard appeared in comic book form. Unfortunately, [...]
